Things to do in Bristol

Going to Bristol for 3 nights. We are a couple in our 60's.
Like walking, nice restaurants, entertainment and sightseeing.
Is there any suggestions of what to see or do.
Thank you

Go for lunch or dinner at Wilson’s. You will be grateful to me.

@doopdoopdidoop that looks like a nice place.
I've made a note to book a table.
Not going until the end of June.

Get the train to Cardiff or Bath for the day. Basically, spend as little time in Bristol as you can.

@McCartneyOnTheHeath why not spend time in Bristol

Bristol is lovely. You have the main museum at the top of Park Street, the Georgian House, SS Great Britain, M shed, Arnolfini, St Nicolas Market, lots of great pubs, shopping, parks.
We recently did a Mystery Guide as an alternative way to see the city. It makes it like a giant escape room or cluedo game and you see so much that even as a local it shows you places you've not noticed.

There are also several theatres.

There's a gorgeous French restaurant not far from the centre called La Guinguette

Go on the water taxi round the harbour, can do a round trip or on off. See what's on for your dates at Bristol Beacon, Royal West of England Academy, Hippodrome. Go up Wills Tower or tour of Old Vic. Walk over suspension bridge. Observatory. Clifton Village. Walking tour is good.

Clifton Suspension Bridge
Aerospace Museum (its just off the motorway) on the northern edge of the city. Concorde is there.
Walk around the harbourside.
Catch the ferry (get a hop on hop off ticket).
Walk around the Downs, Ashton Court or Blaise Castle.
Shop at Cabot Circus or Cribbs Causeway. Mooch around Clifton village.
Take in a show at The Bristol Hippodrome or the Old Vic.
Go up Cabot Tower.

Just don't take a car if you have a pre 2015 diesel as you'll have to pay the congestion charge. There's also residents parking zones in Central Bristol.

The SS Great Britain is excellent

I don't know Bristol at all but watched a food programme once where Andi Oliver went to Bristol Lido and it made me want to go for a swim and lunch.

Hi, OP. We've moved your thread from our Holidays board to our UK Travel & Holidays board now - you might get a few extra responses here. Have a great trip!

Go to the M Shed, see what's on at The Arnolfini.
Do a Banksy walking tour.
I love Bristol.

Check out Adelina Yard if you like nice restaurants.

Also, Root at Wapping Wharf is nice for more casual.

Concorde at Aerospace Bristol is brilliant.
