Pre-theatre restaurant recommendations near Nat Theatre

Bonus point for good vegan option - doesnt have to be fancy.

I’m a fan of Mar i Terra – tapas, tucked out of sight by Southwark Tube, open from 6pm, nice walk down The Cut then cut through to the river and theatre, about 15 mins? Also Tas on The Cut if that’s still there.

There are two restaurants in the NT itself - Forza is one of my favourite spots in London, the food and cocktails are wonderful and the vibe is great. Lasdun I have not tried but it is very well reviewed and on my list to test!

Try 4 Fratelli Caprini at 77 Waterloo Road, just at the side of Waterloo Station. It's a lovely, long established family run Italian restaurant doing all the Italian classics.
They offer vegan pizza, and I'm sure they would do a vegan pasta and salad if asked, especially as you will be there early evening.

I second Tas on The Cut for lovely Turkish food. The Hope and Anchor, also on The Cut, is very nice too - French(ish) food and vibes.

Wahaca is a chain but has great vegan and vegetarian options.
