Places to stay near London

Hi,

We're looking at travelling to London for a weekend. It will be me, DH, DD7, DS2 and my parents. We're thinking about getting an Airbnb for the weekend somewhere with easy access to London, but not necessarily right in the centre (in an attempt to save money).

Any suggestions for areas to look into? We are travelling from the Midlands, so North of London would be best.

You need to factor in how much it’ll cost for the 6 of you to travel in and out of town everyday. If you’re on the tube you’ll be OK but different train lines have different fares.
