Trade (on Commercial St) is always very good but can get very busy so depends on your timings.

Or Eataly across the road has lots of different food bars / outlets (go upstairs for slightly more formal).

Or (if it’s open), go to the Upmarket on Hanbury Street for a vast selection of cheap eats and get a coffee from Nude Espresso just outside.

@FormerlySpeckledyHen There are tons of places in the area and it’s very competitive so difficult to find bad food. You’ll be spoiled for choice. Enjoy!

Oh I’ve been there, it was good!

Ottolenghi is my favourite place.

Unfortunately their cakes are rubbish which is a dealbreaker for me. Decent coffee and nice staff though.

I’ve had amazing cakes and desserts at Ottolenghi - it’s one of my go to places for cakes but mostly I have lunch or dinner there.

Ottolenghi - never disappoints

I find their cakes terrible, certainly at the Spitalfields branch. There are much better options in the area.
