Good lunch in Milton Keynes?

A US friend is visiting Manchester, I’m in London and she has a day to meet up. So thinking Milton Keynes might be a good half way point - an hour and a half drive for me and a couple hours for her by train. (She’s been to London and really it’s too far to go there and back in a day).
So looking for a decent place to go for lunch. I’ve never been there. Money not really an issue - not posh but would like something good quality. A decent pub might do (remember she’s American and they love that kind of thing). I’ll be picking her up from the train so we can drive somewhere but not too far.
Thanks!

The Swan at Salford or The Swan Inn at MK Village are both lovely.

The Black Horse in Woburn is very nice

Hopefully not too far for you - The Old Thatched Inn

I think Swan at Salford and Black Horse are owned by the same people so similar menu/pricing

Some good suggestions already. Cross Keys is nice on a sunny day. Sul Lago on Furzton lake gets good reviews, but not been there yet. If you want to be more central/ near the shops/ station, there’s lots of nice restaurants at The Hub.
