Looking for a quick family getaway

Hey everyone!

My family and I are itching for a quick getaway from Clapham, sometime in the next few weeks. We didn’t get to do anything for Easter. We’re looking for recommendations for a place that’s relatively easy to get to (ideally not a super long drive or complicated train journey with young kids in tow!) and offers a fantastic opportunity for some quality family bonding.

Open to beaches, countryside spots (farms, nature!), or even a short city break with cool kid-friendly things. Just looking for a nice change of scenery…

Clapham parents, where have you gone for a quick, happy family escape? Any secret spots or tips on where to stay, play, or eat? :)

York - just over 2hrs from LKX
Whitby - an hour further on

I have 2 children, one is a 3-year-old toddler, and an 11-month-old baby. Just planning to go over the weekend since both my husband and I are working.

When I lived in London, we spent a lot of time in Brighton/ Hoove and the New Forest.... it's worth checking out.

New Forest would be easy access from where you are.

Aah that's great @BearClaire . We live elsewhere in Yorkshire, and both have always been very popular mini breaks/days out with my dc, both now teens.
