Parking (and possibly hotels) for Bournemouth airport

Does anyone have any top tips? We need to stay the night before and are looking at parking options.

I have already looked at the main website and Just Park. In the past we have done “stay, park and fly” at other airports so anything like that would be good or else any other parking tips!

Stay in Travelodge Bournemouth Cooper Dean (10 mins from airport- Travelodge Bournemouth Cooper Dean Hotel - Book Now. Uber is v reasonably priced). There are several parking spaces close by on JustPark, this one is 9 mins walk to the hotel Parking on Longbarrow Close, Queens Park, BH8 - from £1.20 per hour

I would park at Bournemouth airport. We've used the airport quite a bit and always just use their car park. it's right next to the airport and so much easier to just walk across to your car and leave when you get back. You keep your keys so now waiting around. I got 10% off last time I booked through holiday extras.

Only flown from there once but I parked on site, it's such a small airport that I was in my car driving home 15 mins after the plane wheels touched down. The plane literally lands, parks, off you get and walk through the very small terminal and the car park is about 100m away.

Thanks everyone. I would love to park at the airport but it’s £123!!! So I was hoping to save a bit of cash!

Ouch. Yes, thinking about it I was only away for two nights but I remember thinking the parking had cost as much as the flights (Ryanair). Overall it was still a very cheap journey so I didn't mind.

Bournemouth airport is out in the country with very poor public transport. We only live an hour away and know the area well, but for our holiday last month it was so much easier just to pay for the car park than organise anything else. And as PP have said you literally walk out of the small airport and 5 minutes later you are in your car and driving away, the carpark is right next to the building.
I don't know of any hotels that do a service to get you to the airport. Closest possible places would be Ferndown, Verwood, Ringwood, Christchurch. The Morebus 737 goes from the centre of Bournemouth, but would you want to risk a bus being on time - it's quite a trek from there?

Thanks guys. Yes it may be worth paying.but airport parking is such a rip off these days. I kind of get it at Heathrow where many people could get by public transport but a small regional airport!! Ah well

Don’t be tempted to use the privately run car park across the road from the airport. The advertised shuttle rarely runs and there is no safe walking route into the airport.

Uber is not licenced to operate in Bournemouth, only official yellow taxis and private hire.

Unfortunately, your only real option is to use the onsite airport parking. Bournemouth Airport has dire public transport links. In all honesty the airport isn't in Bournemouth but actually is classed as Christchurch. Your best bet would be to try and find a hotel in Bournemouth, with parking or there is the Bridgehouse Hotel at Longham, which isn't that far from the airport and has it's own parking. I live in Poole, so only a short distance from the airport.

Take a look at the Avon Causeway. It’s a pub with rooms just down the road and I think they do free parking and fly?
