Stratford upon Avon

hatton country world - great for children of the age you have

Butterfly Farm - spiders etc aswell to see (boys like these!)

Warwick Castle - lots of things to see their - not cheap though

From Stratford go into cotswolds and to Bourton on the water and the model village - the lo will like that.

Oops - you could try www.ukbed.com/heart-of-england/express-by-holiday-inn-warwick-warwick-sb4235.htm - they are clean and cheap and usually next to a family style pub.

You would be close to warwick stratford and hatton, there is a family style pub next door (I dont know how much traffic you can hear?)

Stratford is expensive so would choose surronding area, Warwick, leamington, for B&B

Or right in the country - but near to everything is this one
www.bedandbreakfasts.co.uk/propertysearch.asp?townCity=Warwick&page=5&force=&displayfilt er=&displayprops=&nomap=#top]]

The motel style place at Hasely - near to Hatton and not far from warwick or stratford - ideal set up with toddler - you can get takeaway food from warwick and eat in your rooms etc.

if you want a quiet place near some lovely stuff then Wivenhoe in Essex is great. V near colchester which has fantastic park and castle. Wivenhoe itself has beautiful river, pubs, small park/playground and just a pleasant atmosphere. May be more there to see but we were just there overnight.

Dh, ds and I stayed in Fisherman's Cottage in a double with a little place up a ladder that was fab for 2 year old ds and I should think wd be fine for 2 children, although you would have to be sure your 2 year old was OK up there. They also had another twin bed room as well if you preferred. Breakfast was downstairs in the front room, it was lovely, just us there, though I think it may have been cold breakfast only - check with the owners. Highly recommended.

I think you talk to the Scattergoods, they also run Berry House round the corner.
