Northern Ireland

Thinking of getting away for a few days in May and Northern Ireland is appealing to me. I’d like to see Belfast, Giant’s Causeway, any lovely beaches for walks. Any ideas for nice areas to stay? A cottage would probably suit us best for accommodation.

If you've a car, anywhere between Ballycastle and Portstewart would work. Portrush has lots of amenities and the beach is safer for a swim, while Ballycastle is a quieter, quint, scenic stay, plus you can get the ferry across to Rathlin Island for the day (well worth a visit).
I stayed in Portballintrae recently and the morning walks on Runkerry beach were amazing plus it's really quiet, then you just drive to places like Bushmills distillery, portrush, ballycastle etc.
But depends if you want to be town based within walking distance of shops etc…
