It might be too far for you, but imo worth it….Leeds Castle. There’s so much to do there so it’s a full day out.

Wingham Wildlife park - nice pub for lunch in Wickhambreaux Duke William has a garden
Toddlers Cove is the big park along the river from Westgate Towers, also a park in the Dane John park on the other side of town near the Whitefriars shopping centre.
There are a few escape rooms, one at Westgate Towers which is central. There are also a few places to play boardgames such as The Long Rest which is a cafe you can spend hours in discovering new games.
Lots of beaches about 20mins drive away, sandy ones along Broadstairs way such as Viking Beach/Botany Bay. Nice path for bikes along from Reculver Towers towards Margate which can be done all off road along the coastal path.

Few more ideas here https://www.canterbury.co.uk/events/easter-egg-hunt-138564/

Dover castle is brilliant. Probably a 20min drive away from Canterbury. Herne bay is great, my kids love crabbing off the pier. Quex park usually have activities for kids.

Whitemills Aquapark near Sandwich and agree with pp about Dover Castle being worth a trip .
