York with a 15 year old

We're off to York this weekend with our 15 year old son. We have lots planned for during the day but we have 2 evenings to fill.
We have food booked from 7pm on Saturday which means we might not be able to book onto a ghost walk due to timings.
Obviously we can't just go and sit in a bar with him so can anyone recommend any fun but teenfriendly things to do after dark in York.

We have dinner booked for 7.
possibly we could move that back. But he is always starving so that may be a challenge!!

There are an awful lot of options for things to eat mid-afternoon to keep him going. Savoury and sweet.

How was your weekend @Dizzymaclizzy ?

Well we had a lovely weekend which was helped by the good weather.
We had a lovely brunch on Saturday followed by a good potter around various sights. We really enjoyed looking around Spark but we did go during the day.
It was all under cover and seemed well heated though.
The highlight was a trip to The Hilt for axe throwing which we all loved so thank you for that recommendation.
We did try Valhalla which was great inside but unfortunately they were full so we had to go elsewhere.
We ended our day at Fancy Hanks for a delicious American dinner after which we were so full we managed a walk and then back to our accommodation.
Thank you to everyone who gave us suggestions
