Any recommendations for a holiday cottage on or within a SHORT walking distance to a pleasant beach?

Wanting to rent somewhere in August (yeah I know that we have left it late!) for myself, partner, 4 year old, 1 year old and potentially one set of grandparents in their late 70s. Looked in lots of brochures and seen great cottages near to the sea/beach but not quite near enough. We are in Scotland and the grandparents are in Wales so we are up to travelling anywhere in the UK from south of the Lake District. Basically want a pottering bucket and spade holiday with some sights of interest within driving/taxi distance. Cheers!

We have just stayed in a house in Bridlington 2 streets from the beach 5 mins max 1x double plus 2x twin rooms nice walled garden - no escape!
I know the chap has four properties in the area but this was ideal for the beach and on the quiet side away from the arcades etc
"baysideholidays" dont be put off by the decor int eh photos - they have redecorated since then but not updated the website for some reason!!??

Thanks ladders _ I had a look at the site - assume you stayed at The Grove one as it seems to match your description. They're reasonably priced aren't they? Never been to Bridlington - shall research further! Don't mind anything a bit more "remote" as long as the beach is easily walkable and there are things to do within a driveable distance should it bucket down continuously!!

Keep em coming - all suggestions welcome!

It was Cherry Tree actually but I am sure the other would be just as good?
