Southport - Is fair open and have you been recently?

I thought the fair had closed but it seems to have been reopened but I cant get website up.

Has anyone been recently? We want to take kids out tomrrow and its a nice run out from home and a better option than Blackpool

Hoe old are your dc's we always do st annes instead of Blackpool. Much nicer and cheaper and has train, trampolines, boating lake etc. and the beach and arcades.

it was the haunt of my youht my bf used to work on the roler coaster i used to go round and round lol

i used to spend ages in the fun house

but it was closed has it been refurbished/rebuilt or something

Wemt to Southport and fair was not closed.The council are trying to build botanical gardens on the site and the old fair has been mainly pulled down and there is a static fair there fighting the council and they have a stay till end of summer but are hoping to stay beyond and build it back up.

Southport was lovely though and there has been a lot of money spent on it and its not lost its charm.

I was a bit though at the fat kids getiing on the donkeys.Thought they had stopped all that.One poor donkeys legs went.
