Something nice to do in Edinburgh tomorrow

Thinking about heading across to the capital tomorrow with ds1.

Would like to avoid city centre - was thinking Mussleburgh/Dunbar/North Berwick type places - any suggestions of things to do?

Somewhere we can have a mooch about, let ds have a toddle, wee bite of lunch?

How about the Seabird Centre in N. Berwick?

Dunbar Castle, a ruin, is nice for a picnic.

I would like seabird centre... ds would probably ignore birds and play with the gravel or something similar... we went to the sealife place up at Loch lOmond - £12 EACH to get in - 40 minutes later we were done!!

Have you been to East Links farm in Dunbar?

Yes, we've been to East Links many times and really, really enjoyed it.

You can bring a picnic lunch, too, there are plenty of tables to sit and eat.

Ooo that sounds like a good recommendation to me... might head there then Mussleburgh for ice cream on the way home
