4-6 weeks camping during summer holidays

We are a family of 6 with teenage kids. There is no time over the summer when we will be able to go on holiday together due to various commitments the kids have. Was wondering if anyone has booked a UK campsite for 4-6 weeks. Was thinking we could then go at various/different times depending on who is free and when. Anyone done similar or got any suggestions?

I know in my favourite campsite it's 2 weeks max then you need to move the tent to another pitch (which is fine!) but you also aren't allowed to leave it overnight unattended. My guess is this is if weather changes and you need to baton down the hatches but aren't on site you are potentially putting other tents /cars at risk.

I know you can book very long stays at Hop Farm in Kent. Bonus that it's got lots to do onsite.

Could it not be more interesting to do a fortnight in a place and then move to somewhere new?

Thanks @Forgottenmyphone I will take a look. Sounds like what we are looking for.

@outdooryone yes normally I would definitely not want to spend so long in one place but this summer the kids are all free at different weeks so thought we might have kit set up in one place and have various combinations of us at the site…..want them all to have some holiday time

Don't know about UK campsites but loads of families do this in France. Would you consider a French campsite?

That is interesting @mugglewump. I would love to camp in France…will have to look at the logistics of how the kids get backwards and forwards but very appealing
