England to Belfast - child missing passport

I've hunted high and low and can't find my 13yp passport! We fly to Belfast next week.

We fly with EasyJet and the info says as it's within UK he will be ok without passport and adult can vouch for him.

Has anyone done this? I'm nervous!

I can cancel hotel still but will lost money if I don't do it soon...

You should not need a passport for Belfast.

Why would you need a passport? Do you have checked luggage? If so, your passport is enough.

callmebuffy · 12/02/2025 22:10

I do have mine.

I can't get out of the headspace of not needing a passport to fly,

Thanks eveyoene

We flew without the kids passports to Belfast. Was fine. Took birth certificates although they weren't looked at

MuchasSmoochas · 12/02/2025 22:12

You will be fine, in 16 years of travel they have never asked for DC ID.

Done Belfast to London and back with easyjet x2 in the last few months. Only boarding passes were needed.

I flew with easyJet from Belfast to London just this week, had passports but didn’t need them for me or DS. I would not be so sure with Ryanair though. I would take a birth certificate and your passport or even just photo part of driving license just in case but that’s just my over cautious nature talking!!!

Easyjet is fine - I fly from Belfast regularly with them and you only need ID if checking a bag in the hold.
