Looking for a holiday cottage south or southeast of Leeds over Christmas - any recommendations?

My only stipulations are that it has heating and is cheap

We want to be near(ish) to the A1/M1 and it will need to sleep 6 (or 5 and a cot anyway)

Anyone recommend anything? WendyWeber, any ideas??

I am just in shock you are thinking about Christmas already. Good luck with finding somewhere, I can't actually help !

I will look for you, darling

Likely to be "Bronte Country" ie Haworth-ish - I think that's as near as we get to Leeds.

Bronte Country is the wrong direction, isn't it? I don't think we have anything around there, unless you go further S towards the Peak District - is that any good?

Miaou · 06/05/2008 23:16

WW

Dh says yes to Peak District, and Haworth is ok too - in his words there is "F* all" where we actually want to be based, even if he slept with all the daughters of the the country cottage owners in the area

(and North end of Peak District if poss )

(LOL FridayFeeling, I'm a bit like that, dh is getting me galvanized though )

Aha - I have found one near Holmfirth, that's not a bad location, is it? 2 bedrooms plus extra beds, oil CH (inc), c £460 - any good? email me if so

And it was Nora Batty's house apparently

Miaou · 06/05/2008 23:37

Thanks for that WW! Will consider and come back to you on that one
