Luxury Family Hotels in the NE?

I've seen Luxury Family Hotels recommended on here, and really like the look of them. However, they're so far from us that for a weekend it isn't really worth it. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels in NE England(preferably near a train station, but not essential) that have a babysitting/listening service and are family friendly?

Peebles Hydro? It's in the scottish borders but depending on where in the NE you're starting from it might not be too bad a journey. Train to Edinburgh and then bus if you're using public transport.

Matfen Hall was nice but not sure on the family friendliness

Seaham Hall? Not aimed at families but it allows children.
