Hello, I’m trying to book 2 or 3 nights away in the Easter hols or half term for our group of 4 families (8 adults, 5 kids, 1 18-month toddler).

Keen to stick to a budget of £500 per family tops and have found a couple of suitable holiday parks in New Forest or Norfolk.

Before we book one of those, just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions for

• A cottage/lodge that could fit all of us
• Any other types of accomodation with something to do on site, eg a child-friendly hotel

Thank you! This looks perfect. Probably a little far for a short break but I will definitely use this website

For that many people with young kids I think you're better in a number of smaller properties. Big properties can be fun if everyone is on the same page, particularly around things like what and when the kids eat, bedtimes etc and everyone does their fair share of domestic tasks (cooking and tidying up after all those people is a big task). In reality, it often ends up with one or two people living in the kitchen, others sit on their arse and barely lift a finger, the kids will be hyper and half of them will still be awake after the adults etc etc!!
