Stop over between London and cornwall

Hi can anyone recommend a stop over for the night between London and Cornwall?

this is with y3 and y5 kids who ask are we there yet when going on a 20min car trip!

Mollie’s motel in Bristol is perfect for a stopover with children. Make sure to book for dinner in the diner!

Bath?

We just get up at stupid o'clock and drive through. I think breaking it just prolongs the agony.

Some people drive from London to Cornwall on the M4 & M5 via Bristol, so it’s a completely sensible suggestion.

Sailsbury or Bath?

Depending on what your children like to do. If they are into history both cities are good. You have Stonehenge, Old Sarum.

If you are after getting them active - Jurassic Coast in Dorset?
