Cheap holiday in Kent - any ideas?

Looking for a family holiday in Kent. Have to pick DP's brother up from Dover and don't drive, so we need somewhere accessible by bus or train.

We'd be happy to camp, if the campsite is close to a town. Can't go to France!

There will be 2 adults, a 16 yr old and a 20-month old.

Budget is VERY tight. Any suggestions?

Thanks! Lx

Hi,
you could try St Margarets Holiday village at St Margarets Bay, they do chalets etc, its really nice up there, lovely pool etc, you can get a bus into Dover, only about 10 mins away! What sort of budget if you don`t mind me asking, how many nights? I live in Deal only 6 miles from Dover so know this area well, happy to help!

Hi, thanks for your suggestions!

Have either of you ever been on a Park Holiday? I've no idea what they're like. In fact, I've never really been on holiday in England before and I'm quite shocked at the prices in general, but some of these look ok.

We're probably looking at up to 7 nights. Not sure of the budget really, just as little as possible without it being terrible!

Hi,
Sm Bay is not a park resort, privately owned and very nice. Also here in Deal is Kingdown Park , again privately owned, scandinavian type chalets, pool etc, minutes walk from beach, fab rock pools, minutes walk into village with good pubs local shops etc, and an hourly bus service in town, 6 miles from Dover. Look at this website
holiday-rentals.com
look at selfcatering in Deal.
