Afternoon Tea in Cheltenham

Hoping to get a recommendation on somewhere nice to book for afternoon tea for my best friend’s special birthday, please.

I have done some research and was thinking of booking The Ivy or The Nook if anyone has experience of either of those? I want somewhere upmarket and ‘trendy’ not too stuffy or posh IYSWIM.

I have never been to Cheltenham before so if you can recommend anything else that we can do there (such as a nice cocktail bar or shops) then I would appreciate it.

The Ivy is in a lovely building and The Nook is a new rooftop restaurant. I haven’t had Afternoon Tea there, but I think both would be good choices.
For a cocktail bar, you would be near to No.131. The cocktail bar there is called Gin & Juice and it's lovely. It's very dark and dimly lit with candles. They also have an outside covered bar. It's £££, but there are a few other bars along Montpellier too, if you didn’t want to spend the evening there
