New Year 2025 - looking for inspiration!

We've just returned from a few days in a cottage over New year in Devon and would like to go away again same time next year. Want to get booked ASAP so we have the pick of the cottages but need to narrow down the area(s) to look in as a bit overwhelming otherwise! Loved Devon but always like to try new places. We're a family of 4 (kids are older teens) and want somewhere that has lovely beaches to walk along, pretty towns and villages to explore and pubs! We plan to go for 3,4 or maybe 5 nights at a push and would not really want to drive much more than 4 hours from London. The cottage is important but need to settle on the area first.

Been to Northumberland and loved it but perhaps a little too far. Heard good things about Pembrokeshire and Gower Peninsula but know very little about it.

Inspire me!

Thank you x

Came on to suggest Tenby or Saundersfoot, before spotting that you're already considering Pembrokeshire. The north Norfolk coast is another lovely area to explore. I especially like Wells next the Sea.

Another vote for Tenby.

Does it have to be UK? We went to Iceland for 4 days over New Year and it was amazing.
