Planning to take DD(5) to London on Monday as its an inset day.

This is my plan, is this do-able, open to suggestions 🙂

9:50 - arrive in Euston
11:00 Natural History Museum
13:00 Lunch (looking for suggestions please)
14:00 Toot bus tour
17:00 make our back to Euston (have a flexi travel card)

Will be DD's first time on London aside form a wedding.

Thanks!

The NHM has a few cafes but the most child-friendly IME is the T-rex Grill on the ground floor (if you're in Hintze Hall looking at the stairs, it's off the corridor on the right). That would make your life simplest.

Step back 66 million years & dine with dinosaurs at T. Rex Grill at the National History Museum, our restaurant that’s straight out of a Cretaceous jungle.

Btw, I live in London and have a 5yo and a 10yo and I think that's a great itinerary. Not too packed, lots of time where she can rest her legs but see cool stuff. She'll be shattered on the way home!

Thanks it so tempting to cram loads of stuff in but then you don't enjoy it, we are only an hour outside London so hopefully we can go back and do similar but visiting the science museum another time.

Absolutely doable. Sounds lovely 😊

I second the T-rex restaurant. Though if you have cash to spare, this is a MAGICAL treat ~ DS adores it and he's 5! Just round the corner from NHM and starts from midday ampersandhotel.com/eat-drink/apero/jurassic-afternoon-tea/

That looks amazing thank you!

That looks doable. It won’t take you an hour to get from Euston to the NHM so you should actually have longer there.

What a fabulous itinerary!

I was going to say that the Science Museum is right next to the NHM. It is much better for "doing" things rather than "looking" at things for kids, but can be for another day.

For either, ask if there are any talks or displays on - may not be suitable for a 5 year old, but worth finding out.
