Anyone live in or know Exmouth?

Am staying at the Imperial Hotel for the weekend in a couple of weeks.

Anyone got a recommendation for somewhere nice to eat on the Saturday night and also Sunday lunch before we come home?

I don't like Thai or Mexican, or anything too fancy.

The main square seemed to have a number of restaurants, but I never ate there when I stayed there three years ago. Sorry I cannot be of much help.

The Chronicle is good for Sunday lunch - get an early table as the selection available will reduce as the afternoon rolls on. It's very close to the Imperial.

The Puffing Billy and The Swan are both short train rides away and are both very nice. The Beach down by the Marina is very popular. You'd definitely need to book for that one.

Rockfish, although you'll need to book.

Rockfish or Land and Sea by the front are my faves. The queen vic for Sunday roast. Or if you fancy a drive the Walter Raleigh at Budleigh does a great roast.
