London where to stay for excel?

Please can anyone advise me on where in London to stay to get transport easily to the excel centre ? I don't want to stay near there as going to a show in the evening but wondering where to stay near transport links to get there without too many changes.

Plan is travel on Friday, go to a show Friday night, go to event at excel Saturday then a show on Saturday night and shopping Sunday - would probably stay in a premier inn but what area would work for transport links?

Excel has a station on the dlr and also a bus link at prince regent.

It's pretty well linked in so in your shoes I'd just book somewhere near the shows.

Stratford would be a good option for you. Direct on the DLR from Stratford to Custom House station (next to Excel) and also Central and Jubilee lines from Stratford into the centre for your show and other travel plans.

The Elizabeth Line has really improved transport to Excel, you can whizz there now super fast from central London.

To add - depends where you are travelling in to. If for example you are flying into Heathrow you might want to stay in west London instead of east for shorter travel into the centre. If you are getting a train into Liverpool Street you are nearer east London.

Thanks all - getting a train into Euston. Can I get the Elizabeth line out to the excel or do I need to get the DLR ?

From Euston, take the Northern Line (Charing Cross branch) south to Tottenham Court Rd, then change for the Elizabeth Line to Custom House (Excel centre is by the station)
