We use stay in pub website. It has some lovely places. Sometimes they show up on booking.com as well. Although often it's cheaper to call direct.

Personally I’d stay outside Oxford and travel in using the park & rides

Double Red Duke Bampton
Old Swan Minster Lovell

Thankyou I'll look at them now

You can’t drive anywhere in Oxford City unless you work for the council. So if you want to be in the centre ( where everything is) you need to stay in a city centre hotel, and come by public transport.

If you do stay outside, be sure to be on the North or East side , the west / south is effectively closed because Network Rail are rebuilding the bridge ( or so they say) and there is no road access into the centre from that side.

Minster Lovell is nice , but it is a good forty minutes by car in non peak hours into Oxford ( or into the Park and Ride. Which is what you would really have to do). Bampton is easily 45 minutes from Oxford, and you would have to detour round the South because of the road closure.

Woodstock is probably your best bet ( and there is a bus into Oxford)

The Old Parsonage is a small hotel with a good restaurant, it’s lovely.

Very central, a short walk to the Ashmolean.
