Has anyone been here? Would you recommend for an autumn stay? What is there to do for pre-teens in the area if weather is iffy?

Don't know about the accommodation but there is a pool in Dunbar with some slides and I think a wave machine (it's been a while since we went) East links farm park is close by and also has a big public adventure playground outside of the farm by the beach that has long walks. Still enjoyable unless the weather is particularly bad. There is a surf school that operates in most weathers if they are adventurous. Train to Edinburgh if the weather is a complete lost cause. No shortage of indoor things to do there

Museum of Flight at East Fortune and Foxlake are both popular with teens.

Dunbar pool with flume and wave thing
Foxlake Aventures, high ropes above water etc, jumping pillows in the water, hard to explain what they have but Google!
There are surfing places on Dunbar beach
riding at Seacliff
museum of flight
climb North Berwick or Traprain Law (hills)
Boat trips from NB harbour
East Links family park
mooch around East Linton, lovely bookshop and bakery there

How could I forget fox lake. You get wet anyway (wetsuits provided) so weather irrelevant

Just to highlight that Foxlake is great but would depend on when in autumn as it reduces hours in Oct and closes on 27 Oct for the season.
