Night away with daughter

Hi all, posted this elsewhere but got no responses!

But I’m looking for suggestions for a night away with my eldest who is in year 1. We live on the outskirts of London and can get to the M25/M1/A1 pretty quickly.

Would love a nice hotel recommendation. She likes a nice pool and a hot tub. And I know would love a cozy night playing board games and watching a movie together with treats. Don’t want to go too far though and just for one night, so ideally close-ish to London and childfriendly (but ideally a bit luxurious for me!). Any suggestions?

Chewton Glen or The Ickworth

@Forgottenmyphone thank you. The Ickworth looks promising but has a two night minimum on weekends unfortunately (so maybe one for a whole family stay). The other I think is too far for one night, but also looks lovely.

Try The Grove near Watford. I haven't stayed but have heard good reviews about it.

Highfields spa is an air b and b and you get the whole place to yourself including pool, hot tub and sauna. It has a games room upstairs and the bedroom was so cozy for a movie night with a big four poster bed! Would definitely recommend.

Thanks for the suggestions. Would love the grove but it’s £700 a night so beyond what I’m willing to pay!

Highfields looks interesting - will look so more!
