Day in Manchester

I have a day to spend in Manchester with a friend coming up. Looking for recommendations for things to do please. Not keen on football. I like art/museums/music. We will not have any children with us. Thanks.

Wander around the Northern Quarter (lots of street art, quirky cafes, boutiques and indie shops), take a city river tour, have afternoon tea at Cloud 23 and visit either Manchester Art Gallery or the People’s History Museum.

All of the above and also lots of theatre options if that is something you like :-)
