Day out between Cardiff & Leicester?

Hi all, I'd like to meet up with my sister and her two children (2 and 7 years old) just for the day. We live in Cardiff and Leicester, so we're wondering if there's somewhere in between we could each get to, so that the travel is a bit more manageable for both of us. Can anyone recommend a nice park or woodland or something with good play facilities for the kids and a cafe or at least toilets? I guess we'd be looking around Worcester or Evesham areas, but could be flexible. Many thanks!

Croome (national trust) is absolutely magic- great play areas, beautiful quirky grounds, woodland walks, big country house, RAF museum, lovely cafe (and smaller tearoom inside the house). Can't recommend it enough.

Malvern is lovely and has lots of tea shops and a walk on the hills if the weather is good. You can also go hunting for some of the many wells around the town and hills and have a drink of the lovely water. If the weather is not great Worcester is only a short drive away with shopping, food and the cathedral.
