Parking at train station to travel into Birmingham

I’m looking at travelling into Birmingham on a weekend for a meet up, and the best option looks to be driving most of the way then doing a park and ride.
I’m not a fan of driving in busy cities I’m not familiar with. Can anyone suggest train stations I could park at for a short ride into the City? Coming from Essex way so ideally south or east of Birmingham.

I’ve had a look at the rail map, but there are so many, needs to be easy to park at:

Warwick Parkway?

All of the park & ride Metro services are on the opposite side of the city from the direction you're travelling from. They're all West / North-west of the city.

I'd park at Birmingham International. Easy to get to, loads of parking and the train takes about 10/15 mins straight into BHam City Centre. Trains run very regularly from there.

Birmingham International station has a multistorey long stay car park opposite the station and plentiful trains into the city. I think that would be reasonably secure to park at. I'd be happier leaving my car there than at a park and ride. And it's just off the motorway network too.

Worcestershire Parkway off the M5. My husband and son use it easily enough to go to football games.

Thanks for suggestions!
Google Maps tells me Birmingham International has the shortest driving time and train services are very frequent to New Street.

To get a bit closer to Birmingham, you could park at Solihull. There's a car park beside the station, and regular services into Birmingham Moor Street or Snow Hill. It's not far from the M6 or M42.

International has very frequent and quick services into New Street, but the parking can be expensive. If speed matters, International would be good.
