Travelodge Family Rooms

Has anyone stayed in a Family room with a sofa bed and pull-out single? We are planning a girls night out in London and wondered if we could get away with squeezing 4 of us into a family room to save some pennies. Strictly speaking, it says 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children.

Any info gratefully received

We have, not at Travelodge thgouh, ours were at Premier travel inns. They were quite spacious, but I don't know if they would allow 4 adults in

Yes, I have comedy mental images of sneaking commando style past the front reception desk... Perhaps its just not worth the stress ! It's just that I can see we won't be in the room for that long

One of the beds is more like a sofa, so you need to be 'slim' for it to be comfy.

Imho you could get away with it, just wander in 2 at a time when you get back to the room, same with check-in.

I can't remember though, when booking if you have to state how many adults and children though.

From my distant recollection, the fourth bed - the under the sofa bed was very short and would be uncomfortable for an adult over 5'.

Thank you. Perhaps we won't risk it this time, I did wonder how small the last bed would be.

At the Premier Travel Inn we stayed at the beds were a decent size, I would think they would do an adult of average hegiht

I'd definitely do it, though you will have to be sneaky at check in as they are only meant for 2 or possibly 3 adults. 1 checks in and says that the 'friend' has taken the 'children' out while boring check in is sorted. When me dh and dc's go away we always play musical beds and me and dh never get the double. I'm about 5'7 & DH 6'4 we have both in our time slept on the sofa bed whihc is huge and no prob at all and the pull out one, whihc is shorter but still really not a prob (I always sleep curled up anyway!)

Why cheat when Travelodge rooms are so cheap anyway? Book ahead and you can get them for as little as £20-30 a night. Actually, we've paid as little as £5 a night before, but I think £29 is the best offer on at the moment. Between 4 of you, two rooms adds little to the cost of a night out.

The rules aren't just about numbers, it's about health and safety and knowing just who's in the room in case of fire or other emergency.

But anyway, the Travelodge rooms really wouldn't take that many adults comfortably. The fourth bed is really only for a fairly small child.

You can still get £19 a room savers if you book far enough in advance. As ecoworrier stated the sofabed is small and you would only be paying £38 between you, if you managed to get 2 Saver rooms.

I'm pretty sure I have done it before a long time ago and think you can squeeze 4 adults in as I think I was the one on the 4th bed. You do have to be slim ( I was at the time) and its a bit of a squeeze.
