Does anyone know which of these two hotels in the New Forest is nicer for a two night break ?
Hoping for a nice couple of days after a difficult few months.
Spa element would be a bonus. Difficult to tell from reviews which is better.
Thank you !

Both are lovely. Carey's Manor is more modern. Rhinedield
Is classic big old country house. Rhinedield is right in the middle of the New Forest set in lovely grounds with lots of walks and a gorgeous arboretum. Carey's Manor is just on the edge of Brockenhurst a small New Forest village. Food and service is great in both. Carey's Manor offer more and higher class spa treatments. Carey's Manor is handy for train station. Carey's is popular for London visitors.

So for calm, country style I'd recommend Rhinefield but for top class spa and more modern I'll opt for Carey's Manor.

Also Rhinefield hosts a lot of weddings during the summer which take over a lot of the hotel.
