Hello! I'll be in Manchester for day next week, arriving at Piccadilly Station. Since I have time I'd like to have a little browse around the shops and buy a few presents. Is there anywhere near the station? I can't walk that far, but happy to take a bus. Thanks in advance.

What sort of thing do you want for presents? If it's high street stores you want then you might be best to get a tram to the Trafford Centre and then you can hire a mobility scooter to get around if needed Plan my visit - Trafford Centre
There's also free buses around the city centre or the tram might help you to get around easier free bus | Bee Network | Powered by TfGM

Depends if you want the high street or independent. Manchester craft centre in the northern quarter is close to Piccadilly station (15 min walk). There are some quirky shops around there. Or you can get to Primark on Piccadilly gardens in about the same time. The main high street shops in the Arndale Centre are another 5-10 mins walk away.
