Is a must for anyone needing a good fry up and a huge brew.
We love it.

ooh we went there the other week when we were staying in Bethesda!

great cuppa!

MyChemicalToilet · 15/04/2008 19:13

I was there last weekend, ate there twice, as the rest of Llanberis seemed to be closed. I bought the mug too

Ah yes, a pint of tea! Its a fab place. I lived in Deniolin up the road for a while and ate at Pete's most days!

Glad others have discovered what a great place it is! It's been mentioned in 2 supplements in the Guardian in the last few weeks, and is also a recommended place in our "Rough Guide to Wales", which is 13 years old!

Pete's Eats has been there 25-30 years I think.

Hogiabach · 16/04/2008 13:16

Yes, Pete's Eats has been there a very long while, used to be much smaller, the cafe not the portions...great breakfasts and my fave is the ham, egg and chips.

As a local girl can I also recommend Caban which is just up the road in Brynrefail?

I reckon it's even better-wonderful building with huge curved glass windows which overlooks the most magical garden and deck where your children can play safely on huge tree trunks and in willow wigwams. It is next to the most magical little stone brindge in the world from which even small children could safely swim and paddle and fish.

The fodd is wonderful. The chef is Dutch but speaks Welsh. His Saturday night £12 buffets are to die for (I am going this Saturday to a Japanese one). The staff are charming. It is, in short a gem of a place, good at any time of day or night and one of the few places where you can take your kids in the evening, let them run about and yet still feel you are having a proper grown up evening.

Website is not good at all but ignore that and go!

moondog- I'll remember that one for next time we're in Wales!

Resurrecting this thread, it has been open since my dad was a university student ie 40 years ago.
We used to holiday in North Wales as a child and would always go for a fry up here.
Thanks for the great memory

My mum has a cottage near Llanberris so will check out both of those places next time we're there
