Hi mumsnet, I’ve never been to Hampton Court Palace but am looking around for places I could go with my 5/3/1 year olds. Any good? Thanks in advance!

(Other suggestions of places nearby also very welcome!)

Yes definitely! Obviously the palace is interesting but the gardens are fantastic ( including a maze) and nice cafe. There are also boat trips down the river

It's fab! The Magic Garden is perfect for little ones, and they have trips around the gardens in a horse drawn carriage, which was my son's favourite thing to do. Several places to get food/ice cream (though the cafe over the road , called Coppernose is terrific). The palace itself is interesting, with some interactive elements (I.e. you can sit on a "throne" in the Great Hall. The gardens are probably the best bit with kids, though. Enjoy!!

Yes! The kitchens are fun, there are often people dressed as and in character of the former inhabitants of the Palace. The gardens are good too. Most definitely. We used to live nearby with children the age of yours OP

The playground is great and the maze. However there are lots of spots in the playground where the kids are hidden from your sight and a bit heart stopping when they are littlies!

Have you taken them to Hobbledown?
