Parking in Canary wharf

We're going (as a family) to stay for 4 days near Canary Wharf and it works out cheaper to drive and leave the car parked. Any tips on where to park for a few days that is safe and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I know the fees are capped over the weekends (so Saturday and Sunday) at the main car park in CW. Otherwise, if you don't mind leaving the car, you could park in one of the suburbs and get the train/tube in. I think you'd be looking at Zone 4 as most places in the higher zones have parking restrictions part of a day of a whole day.
Or you could ask your relatives if they have visitors parking permits? Most local authorities issue these for a fee.

Or use websites that let you book a car parking space on someone's drive locally.

I would do park & ride from the outskirts and get the underground in.

Where would be a good place?

I've never tried this- will look into it.

Apologies! Read the first post as you were visiting family.

Off the top of my head , somewhere like Charlton, SE7 has some spots that are restriction free or SE3 around Old Dover Rd. You can then either get the bus from there to North Greenwich (Jubilee Line) which is only one or two stops from Canary Wharf or get an Uber to CW.

Just Park is one of the websites that rents out driveways.

@Buttalapasta

Is the hotel in Canary Wharf itself?

I’ve booked someone’s driveway near Canary Wharf through Just Park for a 3 night stay. Used the website before with no problems. There are reviews for the spaces on there.
