Hi, my husband is taking our 2 boys on holiday with their cousins and his brother for 7 nights in August. I don't want to be alone in the house so wanted to take myself off somewhere. My sister isn't available and don't have any friends I could go with so will be travelling alone. Nervous about going abroad alone so UK breaks only, wanted a spa type wellness break, any suggestions? Feel bit sad about it too,

Could you go to the nicest spa hotel near you so you don't have to travel far?

That sounds lovely and I'd love the opportunity to do something like that.

Bath has a lovely thermae spa and is a beautiful place if you get nearby accommodation. River boat cruise. Shopping and lunches

The champneys resorts all have people travelling alone.

Seaham Hall in the North east is amazing.

The Headland hotel.

I second Bath too. Spa hotels are expensive, but there’s lots to do in Bath as well as the spa. You could also get the train to Bristol from there for the day and go to the Lido.
