Dog friendly stops between Aberdyfi and Tenby

Off to wales next week, Aberdyfi first then Tenby, happy to take a full day between the two to explore - ruins, castles, waterfalls, walks. Will have a dog and two teenagers. Looks like there’s tons we can do depending on the route but does anyone have any stand out recommendations?

Cardigan Island Coastal Park allows dogs on leads and its lovely for seal spotting, outside sitting area for lunch.

Also, the estuary beach at Borth is fab, you can see it over the water from Aberdyfi. i think sometimes there's a small charge in high season to park on the beach but well worth it for a lovely walk.

There’s a lovely bakery in Cardigan called Crwst. They sell delicious cakes and food and you can bring your doggo. Or if you’re cutting across country rather than driving down the coast try and visit the Gwaun Valley, it’s stunning.

Aberdyfi is my favourite place. Been about 90 times 😅

Another one, as stated above. You can do Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge on the Rheidol Valley steam train, dogs allowed and if the weather is nice its lovely to sit in the "open" carriage and hear the chuff chuff! There's a lovely little cafe the other end or you can walk to the waterfall if you have time before the return train.

Also...a few hours in New Quay if you can find a parking spot. Lovely cafes, fish and chips, ice cream and there are dolphin spotting boat trips and in the one we did the dog came for free!
