A Day in Bristol

Shortly going down to South West and planning a day trip to Bristol (4 of us, 2 adults, 2 teens) What are the must-dos? (I haven't been to Bristol since I was about 18 months old and all I can remember about the city is my parents struggling to put my travel cot up! ) Would be great to get some recommendations for good foodie places in the city centre too (more informal takeaway type than actual restaurants) We may have our dogs with us too so any dog friendly recommendations much appreciated (not the end of the world if not though as I can always go off somewhere with them for a bit)
Thank you!

Bristol is where Banksy’s from, so naturally there’s lots of street art. You can get street art tours and graffiti workshops. If you want to find some street art for yourself, there’s lots around Southville and Bedminster.
Wake The Tiger is a good attraction and if they’re sporty, then perhaps SUPs in the harbour or a detour to The Wave surfing experience.

For informal takeaway type food in the city centre you can't go wrong with St Nick's market.

The Harbourside is a good for a mooch, there are various boat trips, you can do a self-guided Banksy walk. Walk up to Clifton via Brandon Hill (views, tower to climb), go and see the Suspension Bridge (lots of stuff around there - rock slide, camera obscura, rock tunnel, rooftop cafe, nice shops in Clifton Village).

The Aerospace museum where Concorde is on display, but its on the northern outskirts of the city not far from the M4/M5 interchange.
SS Great Britain is worth a visit.

Both places have tickets where you can return for free for up to a year after you visit.

When are you going?

They do a balloon fiesta and a separate thing of boats festival - it's not called that but can't remember what it's called. Think one of them is coming up.
