Marwell Zoo is where my Mum takes my boys whenever they visit. I havent been for a while, but they love it every time they go. they have a website I think.

Marwell Zoo is lovely! They have Snow Leopards, love them. Definately worth a visit.

padboz · 14/04/2008 11:29

its great - its like a toy zoo.

catchingzeds · 14/04/2008 11:36

Marwell is great

There is also the Owl and Otter Sanctuary and Longdown Dairy Farm in Ashurst.

dad wnet wiht ds3
loved it

Marwell is good but I wonder if your nearly-3 year old would get bored (possible, unless they are animal crackers.)

There's also Paulton's Park (off J2 of the M27), and Adventure Wonderland near Bournemouth Airport.

Also Longdown Farm, Manor Farm (near J8) and Moors Valley (near Verwood).

Best zoo I have been to. DD loves it.

aDad · 16/04/2008 08:41

15 quid per adult and 10 quid per child over 3 though. Maybe all zoos are around this though?

But as zoos go, it is quite a nice one.

we like Marwell and pidge's other ideas are good too . Longdown may be better given the ages of yours though - it is also cheaper. Manor Farm (Jct 8 of M27) is also nice. There's also a mini railway in Eastleigh - Lakeside Park - which is nice for littlies as well.

sidge - obviously

SaggyOldBagpuss · 16/04/2008 08:52

We loved Marwell when we went last year

TwoFirTreesToday · 16/04/2008 09:05

Is it cheaper if you buy the tickets before hand on line?

Tutter · 16/04/2008 09:06

thanks all

is the catering awful then?

OP posts:
Tommy · 16/04/2008 09:13

don't know about catering as we always take a picnic

TwoFirTreesToday · 17/04/2008 08:23

We take a picnic too. We went once in winter and the main cafe was closed, and the snack places were very busy and over priced. We prefer a picnic anyway because you can chose your spot to eat
