I'm travelling up to Scotland next week, and spending the day in Stonehaven. I've got another day free, and was wondering what to do with it. I fancy Dundee as it will be different to Stonehaven but didn't know whether to add either Arbroath or Broughty ferry on as I travel back from Stonehaven. Or would they be too similar to Stonehaven (as in by the sea with a harbour)? I'm on the train so limited a bit by that but like to make the most of my time on Earth when I visit places.

I would second the shout for Dundee and Broughty Ferry. Beautiful part of Scotland. Dundee is a lovely city and Broughty Ferry has quirky boutiques and cafes.

There’s not much in Arbroath itself, I’d head to Dundee as the waterfront and V&A area is quite nice now.

I've got family in Broughty Ferry. Its the nice part of Dundee. Has some nice little shops and Visocchi's is great for delicious Ice Cream😋 if you fancied stopping for a couple of hours before Dundee.
