Passport Urgent and Compassionate

I applied for a passport around 2/3 weeks ago however i have not received any updates on what stage it is on. Since sending off the application renewal circumstances have changed and a family member is seriously ill. I have contacted the urgent and compassionate team and given the evidence required however its been 48 hours and still no reply. What can i do next to chase this up?

If it was Friday you sent it you wouldn't hear anything over the weekend. When I contacted the urgent due to changed situation line it arrived 48 hours later but this was Tuesday to Thursday not over a weekend.

Hopefully you'll get the acknowledgment that it it's printed and posted tomorrow

Did you have to give evidence beforehand?

No I just explained why (good not sad reason) and they said they would see what they could do.

Speaking on the phone they said if they were happy with the evidence id have to pick it up they didnt say anything about delivery. Im just concerned since i already have a flight booked this week
