Home.ly info and payment request after Booking.com reservation

I’ll start this with confessing to being an anxious person, particularly around travel. I’ve booked a weekend to London with a friend and our teenage DDs. Found a little flat on Booking.com and paid in full. I’ve since been sent a message from Home.ly via the Booking.com app wanting proof of address, copies of Driving Licence and passport and credit card details to take a refundable security deposit (despite having paid almost £600 up front). Is this normal? I don’t want to lose the booking as trains etc have also been paid for, but my spider senses are tingling as to why they would like so much personal and financial information.
Has anyone heard of this company and should I stop being so panicky and just submit the info or does it sound like a totally dodgy phishing scam?

I would also contact booking.com and ask them. I would expect any security deposits needed to be at the very least detailed in the particulars before booking, especially if such deposit needs to be paid separately, outside of booking.com, to the property owner/manager directly.

And why do they need driving license AND passport? I'm not sure why they need to ID you at all if they have credit card details and have taken payment/deposit before you arrive?
