London Zoo - worth it

Just that really, is London Zoo worth a visit - with 12 year old DS in July.

We went last year for the first time and were quite disappointed. It's looking run down. We go to Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the animals have a lot more space. The emphasis on conservation is clearer too.

It has quite a sad vibe

I was underwhelmed when I went for the 1st time just before covid. I think I was expecting it to be spectacular, but it wasn't. Still enjoyable, just different to what I'd expected.

I went to Colchester zoo and was overwhelmed! I never expected it to be so large or have such a variety or animals.

I've been to London Zoo maybe half a dozen times over the last fifty years and it gets more depressing every time. I last went this time last year (for one of the summer evening events) and I vowed that actually would be the last time. Awful.

I agree, Colchester is much nicer.
