We are thinking of tagging some days onto a wedding near Malvern. Are there any gems/ stuff to keep them entertained? Cottage I've seen has hot tub but during day we'd need places to go and things to do. Both boys sporty and happy to do outdoorsy things. Anyone ? Thank you to the hive of Mumsnet lovely recommenders

Walk the length of the Malvern Hills, amazing views and perfect for outdoorsy sporty boys.

Walking in the Malvern Hills is fab, if they'd like that.

Do they like cars? The Morgan factory is in Malvern and does tours (and I actually really enjoyed it, despite not being particularly interested in cars generally)

Places to go near Malvern?

Um, the Malverns? (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

I have sporty teenage boys and they love a walk in the hills. There's also a lovely ice cream kiosk by the British Camp car park.

Thanks all. Fast replies and keep them coming. They like water stuff too but I hesitate to search water sports 🤣

Aztec Adventure Park looks interesting for watersports stuff- ni idea what it's like, it's new since i moved away.
It's about 1/2 hr drive, between Pershore and Evesham.
Sorry, I've failed to link, google it.

My friend runs Watersedge watersports centre in Worcester. Fab for SUP, open waters swimming, kayaking etc.

Hire a boat from the marina in Upton upon Severn and wander down the river to Tewkesbury.

I spent 6 years of hell at boarding school in Malvern in the 80's and there was literally nothing to do apart from snog random boys in hidden spots on the hills and smoke a lot in the top prom cafe. Not much help, but you've just triggered me, sorry Confused

Getoffthesofaplease · 29/06/2024 19:39

@Justcallmebebes apologies !

The Hills, Morgan factory tour, bands in the park at Priory Park on a Sunday afternoon. A bit further away the inflatable water park at Upton Warren is great, or walk round the river from Lower Wick to Worcester and back via Diglis Basin to watch the boats in the locks. Depending on dates there maybe something on at the Three Counties Showground or one of the Upton festivals. The maize maze near Powick is good if it's open this year.

I live in Malvern so if you have any specific questions I'd be happy to try and answer them.

We also have an ice rink, laser quest and escape rooms at Ice Quest Malvern.

@froomeonthebroom that's great thank you. And what an example of how Mumsnet is so amazing

There's Malvern Splash. My son loves it there ;-) and Boundless Malvern - an outdoors Activity Centre.
