Birmingham/Midlands day trip destination with dog

Looking to meet up with some friends in Birmingham or surrounding areas as it’s in the middle for everyone. As long as it’s accessible by train.
Somewhere we can all sit down and have some food and a catch up but also needs to be dog friendly, so ideally we can also go for a walk afterwards.
Could anyone please recommend or have any ideas? Don’t live in the area or have a dog so I have no clue!

Have you found anywhere yet @fretaway?

Sutton park in Sutton Coldfield? 5 minutes walk from cross city line train which is about 20 minutes from new street.

Blackroot bistro is a nice cafe about a half hour walk from town gate which is the nearest entrance to the park from the train station.

Extremely dog friendly.

Or if you wanted central Birmingham, then brindleyplace has outdoor seating areas and you can walk along the canals afterwards.

Solihull train station is over the road from Tudor Grange Park and a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Sutton Coldfield station also similarly well located for park and cafes. Central Birmingham stations not well located for dog walking.

You could also consider Warwick, Stratford or Lichfield.

How about the National Arboretum?
Dog friendly, places to eat and a lovely place to walk (when it is a nice day).

Get the train to Malvern.

Lots of places to eat and beautiful hills to walk with the dog.

Thank You everyone! Lots of great ideas here and different options, will investigate and see what’s best for everyone.
