Any Premier Inn recommendations for London? Am looking at the ones near Southwark , Waterloo or Kensington. My premier inn experiences have varied so any to recommend or avoid? It’s for family of 4.

We always stay at premier inn at kings cross it's fine comfy clean and decentbreakfast if you want it, 've no experience of the others sorry.

I've not stayed in any of those, we normally go for Stratford which is great for shopping and access to the parks and sports facilities at the Olympic park. Easy access to central London too via overground, DLR and tube

Richmond is nice too it felt very safe, next to Kew gardens and Hampton court a bus ride away. easy access to central London via Waterloo or tube. Richmond theatre was lovely too.

We only stayed there initially because of the location our train comes into kings cross, but used it a few times.

STayed in the Waterloo ones - the old hospital and the County Hall ones several times. Absolutely fine.

Also the Southwark one and it was good.

The only ones I'd avoid are the Leicester Square one...it's quite old and in need of a revannp...

County Hall is a good one. It's a short walk from Waterloo. Westminster and Embankment tube stations are close too.

Brightredtulips · 24/05/2024 14:18

Greenwich . Lovely and interesting area. Can take the dlr driverless train into central London or the uber boat.

Goonergirl14 · 25/05/2024 23:33

I stayed in Angel, was well priced and quick on the tube into central London.

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2024 23:47

I stayed in Hammersmith last year. It was fine, central enough, close to tube and felt very safe.

Blackfriars and Farringdon are both really good.

Rainydayze · 30/05/2024 11:23

County Hall is our favourite. Great location and feels safe walking around Southbank at night. Great for tubes/trains from Waterloo, Charing Cross, Westminster or Embankment.

Comefromaway · 30/05/2024 11:27

I've stayed in Earls Court Kensington several times. It used to be our Premier Inn of choice when the kids were younger.

I've never managed to get a decent price at County Hall but I'm told that's really nice.

We also like Kings Cross but NOT Euston.

Rainydayze · 30/05/2024 14:37

County Hall price can vary quite a bit. We tend to incorporate a Sunday night into our stay to bring average night rate down. When we’ve booked it’s been around £150 per night for a family room.

Nomorecoconutboosts · 30/05/2024 14:39

If you’re looking at Kensington we got a great deal at the Holiday Inn

EachandEveryone · 30/05/2024 14:40

We’ve just booked Hampstead. It’s Belsize Park really. Good price and great location.

PrimalLass · 30/05/2024 14:41

I had the worst night's sleep at the County Hall one. Baking hot room and overlooked the recycling bins, with crashing of bottles into the bins in the middle of the night. I was so hot I had to have a freezing shower at 3am.

Kings Cross is great.

Lemonandlimejelly · 30/05/2024 14:53

I really like County Hall too, great location. Prices vary hugely but have paid as little as £80 a night for a family room (Sunday night on a Bank Holiday weekend).

pinkoryelloworgreen · 30/05/2024 15:17

We've stayed at Blackfriars and Southwark and both were fine. Blackfriars a little small even for the two of us on that trip but the family rooms are usually fine (we have travelled as a family of 4, with a baby in a cot too).

pitterpatterrain · 30/05/2024 15:26

Stayed at Southwark, that one is good - haven’t tried county hall think the location can be noisy and crowded at times but if you want to be right in the middle it’s good and very walkable everywhere (used to live at county hall)

Bit further out but convenient depending upon where you are coming from / where you want to be is the one next to Westferry DLR

Alwaystired23 · 30/05/2024 15:45

We stayed in the Paddington one 2 years ago. Great location, nice and clean and quiet. We got the train to Paddington, so we didn't have too far to go with our bags. Then we could hope on and off the Tube.

tealgate · 30/05/2024 15:48

Southwark Station one is great, only opened in Covid and is modern. It's set back so it's quiet.
Holborn is damp beyond, weirdly.
