What are the top 3 or 4 things you recommend to take DS15 and DD11 to?

They haven't been to London before.

(Already got theatre tickets)

Thanks

The Tower of London, Science Museum, London Eye and a Thames cruise

The Shard- brilliant for teens took mine last holiday.
The monorail around Canary Wharf,
Harrods!

bryceQ · 04/05/2024 17:53

Tower of London is a good visit and Science Museum is better than natural history I think
Some sort of cool burger spot was what my younger brother used to like or something like pizza pilgram www.timeout.com/london/food-and-drink/londons-best-burger-restaurants-1

Id do a Thames trip apparently the horrible history one is great

My brother also liked china town for unlimited dim sum

Definitely Tower of London... make sure you do a tour (such as the Yeoman Warder Tour which I think is included in the ticket price) as it really brings it to life.

-Spitalfields market/brick lane and Jack the Ripper tour

-Speedboat along the Thames

-Sky Garden

-Wandering around Covent Garden/Leicester Square and Chinatown. Can pop into -National gallery or Portrait gallery if they like art

-Wandering along the Southbank, pass the Globe and head towards Borough Market. Maybe go to the Graffiti tunnel in Leake street

-Camden market and take a canal boat to Regents park

-Museums if they like them. In addition to Science and Natural History, the Postal museum and transport museums are good

-Boating in Hyde park

-Tower of London /London Dungeon

Depends on the weather. If nice you can go up the Monument then walk along the River to Tower of London, Tower Bridge and then back on the other side of the river past HMS Belfast. I wouldn't bother going in to Tower of London, but Tower Bridge is well worth it. Cable cars near the O2 are also excellent.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 14/06/2024 13:46

Thanks everyone. We did:

Disney 100 exhibition - was ok
Cable car over the Thames - pretty good
Boat trip from Westminster to Greenwich pier - loved it
Wandered round Greenwich - loved it
Full day at Tower of London - loved it

Plus Hamilton and Frozen

Next visit they want to do:

Boat from Westminster to Hampton Court
Boating in Hyde Park
HMS Belfast
British Museum

And more musicals
